My Kentucky was created thinking about things I have learned about Kentucky since moving here in late 2012.  The black represents coal, the smoked represents tobacco, the twill design for the mountains in eastern Kentucky.  And finally, the horseshoe handles and embellishment represents the amazing horses!  Enjoy making this tribute to My Kentucky basket!

Create a solid base with modified chicken feet, learn to twill and reverse the pattern and you can lash with a over 3 back 2 lashing.

There is a link to a video to complete the lashing!   It is finished off with horse shoes from Chruchhill Downs and a horseshoe embellishment for the front. (Embellishment may be different from picture, still a horseshoe!)
