I recently had the honor of teaching a basketweaving class at the Ohio Valley Basketweavers Guild. It was such an incredible experience, and I am so grateful to have been asked to be a part of it. We had a great day of weaving together, learning, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company.

We spent the morning weaving two different baskets—the Seven Sisters basket and the My Kentucky basket. Both of these designs are beautiful, and I was thrilled to see how everyone’s unique creations turned out. The atmosphere in the classroom was one of joy, friendship, and collaboration—everyone was eager to learn from one another and share tips on weaving techniques.

At lunchtime, they brought  in food potluck style for a delicious meal together. It was wonderful to catch up with some old friends as well as meet some new people who were interested in learning about basketweaving. After lunch, we got back to weaving our baskets for the afternoon session. Everyone made beautiful baskets by the end of the day!
